A letter from Lance:
People often ask, "What's the difference between LB Fisher and other residential remodeling and renovation contractors in Oregon?" While we can't speak for everyone out there, we can give you an idea of what makes us tick, why we're in business, and how we go about making our clients happy.
Since 1996, the Fisher family has been providing the Portland Metro area with residential general contracting services. Our first project involved the partial demolition of a historic home in the Willamette Valley. From there, we've gone on to do countless projects ranging from small bathrooms to renovations of some of the finest properties in the area. Although each of these projects has been unique, our systematic approach to these projects has remained the same.
- We begin from a place of service.
- We pay strict attention to the details.
- Above all else, we provide a level of transparency you will not find elsewhere in residential construction.
For us, these qualities – service, attention to detail, and transparency – fall under the category of "doing things the right way." Why are they important?
From a service standpoint, we have always believed that the client comes first. A big part of our job is to serve as their advocate, their eyes and their ears, and to make sure things happen when and how they're supposed to happen. We take our clients' faith in us seriously, and work toward establishing and maintaining their trust from start to finish.
Where attention to detail is concerned, we don't expect our clients to sit around at the end of a project thinking about what a great job LB Fisher did. They're going to be enjoying their custom cabinetry, the new stone fireplace, the open floor plan they'd wanted for years, the picture windows – all the details they were hoping for at the outset. To make sure they enjoy their home to the fullest, we take it upon ourselves to stress over the big and small details on their behalf while the project's moving. Even the smallest detail can have a lasting impact on quality and enjoyment. We want their positive feelings to last as long as possible.
Finally, we strive to bring a level of transparency to residential construction that you normally find only in the commercial market. Transparency begins with the partnership we have with our clients and all other participants in the process; true transparency means that the client is always on top of the information chain. It means that clients know their options, and receive clear definitions regarding material quality and workmanship. Ultimately, we want our clients to know exactly what they're getting and what they're paying for. This, to us, is the real definition of transparency.
Service, attention to detail, and transparency: These qualities guide our work, and help us turn each client's home into the one they envision.
